Foster Success Stories

Buddy came to us on November 24, 2012.  He was a seven month old shepherd/lab mix.  Buddy was a stray along with his mother and three siblings.  His family was brought on board to the rescue, and they have all been adopted into their forever homes!  He was our foster pup for 37 days until he was adopted into his forever family.  Buddy was adopted on December 30, 2012.  He was also given a new name: Bodhi!

Sassy came to Sea Dog Rescue all the way from Memphis, Tennessee.  She and her mother were going to be dumped on the side of the road by their former owner, but a good samaritan saved them and contacted Sea Dog Rescue for help.  Sassy's mother was adopted by her foster family almost immediately.  Miss Sassy joined our family as a foster on Sunday, January 20, 2013.  She went to her forever family on March 1, 2013.  Sassy now has her own family and inn guests to love and adore her.  She has found her very happy ending!

Willa won me over the moment I met her on March 2, 2013.  Although she is technically our foster failure, she is most definitely a success story.  She went from number one on the euthanasia list to one of our beloved family members.  We love you, Willa, and we will love you forever!

Betty  was a stray that showed up on my back step on April 29, 2013.  I brought her in from the cold, rainy day and gave her love.  Betty was with us for 33 days until she made a two day journey to Indiana to her forever family.  It just so happens that her new family is also my family!  My mom and dad fell in love with Betty and decided to make her a part of their pack.  I miss Betty daily, but I know I will get to see that sweet face again one day.  I am one lucky foster mom!

Topaz came to us on April 24, 2013.  She was supposed to be a temporary foster, but we kept her until she was adopted because she won us over with her charm and beauty.  Luckily for Ben and me, Topaz also caught the attention of Ben's mother, so she was going to be a part of our family still!  Topaz headed to her new home in Indiana on June 8, 2013.  We will always love our little monster, and we are so happy we will be able to see her again!

Cassidy came to us on June 12, 2013.  This sweet retriever mix was only with us for 8 days before her forever family scooped her up!  It wasn't hard to believe how quickly this cutie was adopted.  Cassidy now lives on the beach with a wonderful family and a fur brother, Logan.  She even has a new name, Daisy.  We will miss you, sweet Daisy!
